What is the CN2 GIA line? How does it differ from the standard CN2 GT?

CN2 GIA (Global Internet Access) is the highest tier of China Telecom’s premium international network. It travels exclusively via the CN2 backbone without any detours, offering the lowest latency and most stable performance; ping times from Hong Kong to mainland China typically hover around 10 ms. CN2 GT (Global Transit), on the other hand, uses the standard 163 backbone for the domestic segment, which may result in detours during peak hours and latency rising to over 50 ms. IDC.Net’s Hong Kong node utilizes CN2 GIA to ensure low latency around the clock.
